Spring/Summer 2014 Trends – Revamped Nineties Fashion

New York. Paris. Milan. London. All four fashion capitals might currently be bustling with their catwalks and exhibits for the A/W 2014 Fashion Week but in (insert site name), it’s never too early to get ready for Spring! As they say, it’s better to be over-warned than under-prepared. Here’s a rundown on the Spring/Summer 2014 trends that I’d like to call, Revamped Nineties Fashion:
Bold Statements

From big prints to solid whites; from edgy cut outs to ostentatious bling. It’s all about saying it loud and proud. Start hauling on tops with big printed mottos but don’t forget to keep one (or two!) solid white shirts with a twist for those classic yet trendy days. Brands like Miu Miu and Alexander McQueen are amping up the fashion scene with their glamorous yet eccentric key pieces but if you think you’re not cut out for that, go bejewelled!

Dainty Femme
Tea length skirts are back on track alongside with anything pastel and feminine. Think an afternoon tea with the Queen in an English garden!

It’s all about the B
Boxes and Biker Jackets. This graphic trend almost never goes out of style! Pair it up with a non-black biker jacket and you’re all set for rockin’.

Wide Awake
Goodbye jeggings! It’s time for some fresh air. Invest in some wide legged trousers for both casual and dressy look

I’m loving the bold patterns to simple prints this season tailored with wide legged pants – super chic. Great post!
