Tips on Marketing your Fashion Blog… Rule # 2 – Don’t be a Hermit.

17 April 2012

In continuation of our series on marketing your fashion blog, Jessica from PaddockToPearls.com, provides us Rule #2 in Marketing your fashion blog, Don’t be a hermit.  (Don’t forget to check out Rule #1, Don’t get Lazy. )

Marketing your Fashion Blog:

Rule #2 – Don’t be a Hermit.

This is one of my favorite tips for increasing traffic to your blog because it is the most fun. Essentially, you can’t expect people to know who you are, or why they should care to read your blog if you don’t make yourself known in the fashion blogging community. How do you do that you ask? Well, go out into the internet world, read other blogs, learn what people are talking about so you can be up to date on what is relevant and then, and here is the most important part, COMMENT on them. Let me clarify about what I mean by commenting… commenting should not be spamming people with your blog url, people see through that and hate it. Doing that will also quickly earn you a negative reputation in the blogging community and have the opposite of your intended effect; it could actually decrease traffic to your blog. Your comments should be useful and well thought out and then in certain cases where it is applicable you can then (and only then), refer people to your blog for more information (or if you really want to make friends, to another person’s blog). But 80% of the time you comment you should do just that, aka comment in an educated way so that you become a recognized name and valuable resource; then when it is appropriate to refer to your blog, you will have already established a positive reputation for yourself and people will trust that you have good information to share.

Stay tuned for Rule #3…

Fashion and Beauty Pet Peeves! – Natasha and Consuelo of bernardibeautyblog.com Guest Blog about these Fashion/Style no-no’s.

14 April 2012

Today’s fashbo guest blog is from Natasha and Consuelo of bernardibeautyblog.  I think they do a great job of pointing out some common fashion faux-pas with a great sense of humor. ENJOY! ~ fashbo1

Fashion and Beauty Pet Peeves

The number one beauty lesson we have had engrained into our brains, by our mother, is that you should always make the effort to look good (hair, clothing and make up). So we have a lot of pet peeves when it comes to fashion and beauty. We just can’t help it. Some of them make us want to scream and others makes us want to cry.

Life is too short – take the time to love yourself – you’ll look good and feel even better.

B3 xo

Consuelo’s List

1. The Caked on Mascara Look – I love me some mascara too…to accentuate and lengthen and give your eyes a pop. But when you’re spending a good 10 minutes coating and re-coating you clearly have issues. Just stop after two coats. Stop. Put down the mascara and walk away. Away damn it!

BAD MASCARA

2. Leggings and tights are NOT pants. Just don’t. Neither are suitable pant replacements EVER. There is even a Facebook group you can join that’s just about that. A full out vent session about people who mistaken leggings for pants. Just don’t. EVER.

LEGGINGS AND TIGHTS

3. Polyester Jogging Pants with the elastic at the waist band and the ankles. For all the men out there, for the love of all that is good please don’t wear these. Like one Clinton Kelly from TLC’s ‘What Not Wear’ says, “Just because they make them it doesn’t mean you should buy them.” And if you can’t break the habit then make sure the only place you wear them is at the gym , going for a run or the basketball court. They SHOULD NEVER be worn as pant substitutes EVER.

POLYESTER JOGGING PANTS

4. Palazzo pants or culottes with tights. Just saying those two words make me nauseous. Let’s stop this fashion trend shall we. Please? thanks. If you want to wear pants, then wear pants. If you want to wear tights wear tailored shorts or a skirt. Let’s burn all remaining palazzo pants and culottes. Preach it.

PALAZZO PANTS

5. French pedicures. They freak me out and creep me out. Ladies let’s leave the French nail style to the finger nails. Just say no to the French pedicure. It’s not natural. At all.

FRENCH PEDICURE

Natasha’s List

1. The Mullet – This still exists. I have absolutely no idea why.

2. The Comb OverHoly Taco has a photo gallery dedicated to bad comb overs appropriately called The Comb Over: An Awesomely Bad Photo Gallery.

3. Unibrow – It’s common sense. You have two eyes. You should have two eyebrows.

UNIBROW

4. Wearing a harsh lip liner that doesn’t match your lip stick. Tip: Match and B-L-E-N-D.

5. People who wear pj’s as clothing. I don’t know who started this trend or why but I thinks it’s ridiculous. I mean how busy are you that you can’t change out of your pj’s and slap on some clothes in the morning. I’m not the only who finds this annoying. I googled pjs in public – 4,860,000 results in 0.17 seconds.

Footnote: The other day I saw someone wearing a M & M’s suede jacket. The only two instances that this is acceptable is (A) if you are an actual M & M’s candy or (B) if you are part of a NASCAR team that has M & M’s as a sponsor. So that includes a very SMALL group of people on the planet. The person I saw was human so (A) is out and I highly doubt was involved in NASCAR so (B) is out too.

Jessica, a PR Professional With her Own Blog, PaddockToPearls.com, Provides Tips on Marketing your Fashion Blog.

11 April 2012

Today’s fashbo guest blogger is Jessica, a Marketing and Public Relations Professional from the Pacific Northwest of the United States.  We know that many of you have fashion blogs and are always looking for ways to increase your audience.  In this post, Jessica begins providing some tips and tricks on promoting your blog.

Marketing your Fashion Blog:

As a PR professional, avid lover of fashion and self-proclaimed social media addict, I wanted to combine those three things into one post that readers would find helpful for promoting their own fashion blogs. Easier said than done. I often find that the more passionate I am about a subject sometimes there is so much to say that it leads to staring at a blinking cursor wondering if it is too early for a glass of wine.. but combining 3 topics I’m passionate about into one post.. complete and total meltdown.
I also noticed that in sitting down to write a “How To” article about marketing your fashion blog, I found I had officially gotten lazy myself when it came to promoting my own blog www.paddocktopearls.com I have my tried and true promotional techniques I use on a regular basis, which thus far has been successful in gaining a steady stream of readers, but I was not growing my blog… I had fallen pray to my first rule:

Rule #1 Don’t Get Lazy.

Now in the spirit of Rule #1, it was time to shake things up, not only for my blogs sake, but for the sake of breaking up a wicked case of writers block. Over a few posts, I am going to walk you through my exploration of blog traffic driving tactics that I have yet to try myself and I will give you my no holds barred opinion if each recommended tactic is worth your time.

This week I am exploring alltop.com :
Alltop.com  is a blog aggregator where it is recommended you submit your blog to get more traffic. Great idea! I submitted my blog and things were going swimmingly until I was asked to provide the RSS feed for my blog (for those who want a bit more info about RSS feeds go to (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS). My blog is through blogger and well, I couldn’t find the dang RSS feed anywhere. So when in doubt? Google it. Luckily it looks like I am not alone and when I Googled “RSS feed in Blogger” I found many other frustrated posts about the difficulty of finding it. Phew, I’m not an idiot. As it turns out the RSS feed is right in front of my face (do I need to take back my earlier “not an idiot comment?”) As a tip for those on Blogger, login then go to your “subscribe by email” section and there should be a little wrench next to that, click on it and it will give you your RSS Feed. Alltop.com will ask for you to classify your blog category, provide a brief synopsis, URL and RSS feed… Once you provide all of the requested information, it is submitted for review and if accepted it is a fantastic way to drive more traffic to your blog because your blog articles will show up in a feed under their associated topics. Overall opinion? If you can get your blog accepted, definitely do it!

Vicki Frost, of the blog frostinatorfashion.blogspot.com, guests blogs about FAZANE an up and coming designer from the UK..

9 April 2012

Today’s guest blogging post is from Vicki Frost from the United Kingdom who has a fab fashion blog at: www.frostinatorfashion.blogspot.com

FAZANE:

I would like to thank Lois at Carrottop PR @carrottoppr and Lola @Bunnipunch for bringing Fazane to my attention, as i do like to trawl for new and upcoming designers. Then of course the added benefit of her being a brit is she’s actually in reach, sad as i am sometimes not to live in LA and NY :( – however i would be flat broke 100% of the time if that happened, instead of just 80% of the time at the moment.

Fazane’s entrance into fashion was at the ripe of old age of 4 as i’ve found she had quite a knack for turning pillwcases into barbie runway and the end result being a BA(hons) in Fashion and Clothing from Derby (for real people, not barbie’s.)

http://www.notjustalabel.com/fazane?nid=40679

Wanting to then hone her skills before going solo she went to Australia where she had the priviledge of working with ‘akira’ and ‘gwendolynne,’ which is very good going for someone just finishing a degree and when she came back she worked her way up to Accounts Manager at ‘High Fashion UK Ltd.’

By 2011 she felt she had the experience to release her own collections after a positive showcase in derby and so here we have the A/W 11/12 collection by Fazane. http://www.notjustalabel.com/fazane

Hannah Hoodie

£109

Deborah racer vest £79 paired with Nicola black crepe wide leg jumpsuit £109, however could also be paired with Cath (see further down)

http://www.fazanemalik.co.uk/category/lookbook/winterphoto

Emma:

£149 this oversized collar waistcoat is wool on the outside and silk lined inside with a black and white checkered print.

Cath:

£119 silk crinkle blouse oversized of course with lovely buttoms and seamwork. This is a rare item as only 50 were made and so all come numbered and signed by the creative director. Very posh i know.

Sabrina:£109 t-shirt dress

Sam: faux fur gillet for £199 makes me just wanna reach out and touch it, but if your the type of gal that prefers sleeves, imagine it and then search for Rebekah which goes for £250

Ann: I must say that Ann is by far my favourite piece of this collection, selling for £139.00 it’s a polyamide sequinned black lace dress with an exposed zipper and jersey trim This little beauty has an exposed back without looking cheap and a way of making see through sexy without being tacky. Think back to the little trend we just had of underwear being outerwear and this almost blends the two concepts together. Now not everyone would feel as good shaking what their mamma gave them in this as others, and so for those women out there it can come with a black jersey slip to turn it into your new LBD.

Beljeet: Now you may not think it to look at this scarf but it is actually 2 metres long, and yes i do mean metres i know my metric system! The pleats will withstand the test of time as are made from polyester crepe and can be brought for £49.

I have of course only reviewed some of the collection otherwise you would be here all night reading this, but i the perks of writing this blog post is that i review my favourite pieces :)

So there you have it everyone – FAZANE @fazane_clothing

Enjoy

’6 Things’ for Spring 2012! Fashbo Guest Blog from mostlylisa.blogspot.com

4 April 2012

1.Over the shoulders
Noticed this a lot during every Fashion Week, but almost every person who was photographed had some type of coat or jacket draped over their shoulders. It’s a simple, yet chic accessory to have. It’s such a simplistic touch to an outfit, but damn these women look good.
2. Cropped pants
While cropped pants have always been in style, we have Audrey Hepburn to praise for that, but I’ve noticed it’s gotten pretty huge this year. They slim down legs, they look great with pretty much any type of shoe, and they will never got out of style! What’s not to love?
3. Loafers
Not just for men anymore! These stylish shoes have been popping up everywhere, and I have no problem with that. I’ve seen it a lot with street style photographs, so it’s slowly getting into the mainstream. Noticed a lot of retailers have started selling them also, calling them loafers or ‘slippers’! There are different colors, patterns, some even have tassles! I highly recommend adding these to your wardrobe.
4. Braided hair
Braided hair has definitely come a long way from just the basic french braid, to something I could never have even imagined someone could do on their own. Obviously celebrities, who have brought these hairstyles to red carpet events, have hair stylists to help them out but everyone else has to fend for themseleves. Google and YouTube are our friends, ladies!
5. Neon
Now, I know this word can cause alarm, but let’s take a breath and realize what we can do with this trend nowadays. From fashion, to accessories, and even nail polish! There are tons of ways to add this pop of color to your wardrobe, and you don’t even have to go crazy with it! A little can go a long way with neon, so be careful and not go overboard.
6. Floral and geometric patterns
Since this MSGM collection is from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection, I’m guessing these two bold prints are going to be around for awhile. These patterns can go on everything (i.e; dresses, pumps, scarves, etc.).

Statement Necklaces : Tasha, The Bay Area Style Guru, (@stylegurugirl), shares her take on this hot trend.

28 March 2012

I adore the old fashion adage stating that the only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize! – I couldn’t agree more!
The right accessories can take any outfit up a notch and create an ultra chic look.
The latest trend this season is the Statement Necklace, these large and bold pieces are the ultimate in accessories and will add texture and interest to even the most basic ensemble.
Because these necklaces are literally meant to make a major statement, be sure to keep all other jewelry minimal so that your necklace takes center stage.
Here are a few of my favorite ways to rock this hot trend:

Because these necklaces are literally meant to make a major statement, be sure to keep all other jewelry minimal so that your necklace takes center stage.

Here are a few of my favorite ways to rock this hot trend:

Exotic

Exotic

Exotic: This season, many designers are featuring animal prints or safari inspired styles in their collections and these wild, sultry looks are best complimented with a seductive piece like this Snake Coil Necklace by Sarah Cavender.

BoHo

BoHo

The BoHo look is a favorite of mine and designs by Free People or Ella Moss epitomize that vibe! A double layered necklace with charms and crystals, such as this gorgeous one by Sibilia, will look fabulous with a cool maxi dress or an amazing pair of flare jeans.

Blue

Blue

Blue is one of the “it colors” of the season and Mediterranean/ Oceanic inspired fashions are hugely popular now!  Deep blue tends to ne universally flattering to most skin tones and hair colors, so rock this trend with a gorgeous azure hued necklace like this “lapis” piece by Nordstrom.

Floral

Floral

Florals are blooming everywhere in fashion right now and the look is ultra feminine and pretty! One way to wear this latest trend is with nature motif jewelry! This gorgeous necklace by Betsy Johnson is sure to make a flirty impact paired with a simple sheath dress.

Tribal

Tribal

Tribal Prints are on trend now and evoke a spicy adventurous look; a luxe beaded collar necklace like this one by Nakamol will have you dreaming of trade winds and sandy beaches!

Whether your look is a sultry siren, upscale hippie chick or sophisticated lady, a bold statement necklace will instantly update and add “fashion cred” to your wardrobe!

SKIRTS! Fashbo Guest Blog #1. Rachel and Esther of Estellelamode.com give us the scoop on skirts..

16 February 2012

In the past three years the fashbo crew has had many discussions with site visitors who clearly have a passionate point of view on many aspects of fashion and style.  In the spirit of sharing this wealth of knowledge, we have started a guest  blog segment on fashbo.com.  This is the first of hopefully many blog posts that we will share with the fashbo visitors and to our > 25,000 Twitter followers.   If you would like to guest blog on this site, please send us an email to support@fashbo.com and someone will get back to you with details.  Thanks!

Our first guest bloggers, Rachel and Esther, come to us from Melbourne Australia and have a blog of their own that you can visit at http://www.estellelamode.com.

SKIRTING AROUND

Autumn is fast approaching so we wanted to show you how versatile our much loved wardrobe staple, the skirt, is. How to transition it from your summer wardrobe to autumn and style it for the cooler months. Just because summer comes to a close, it doesn’t mean that you have to put your skirts away at the back of your closet. Skirts can be worn all year round. A great way to wear a skirt in autumn and winter is by layering it with different items of clothing. Layering is one of our favourite things to do, its easy and fun to mix and match different textures, which adds more detail to an outfit.

How to Skirt

How to Skirt2

Choose a skirt that flatters your body shape, we find the A-line skirt is the most flattering on all body shapes. Throw on some tights or leggings, depending on how cold it is, and booties or boots to take a summer outfit into autumn. Then put a thin cardigan on top with a blazer or jacket to keep the chill away. Use a belt to keep the shape of an outfit as it can be lost underneath the layers. Always remember to start off with the lightest materials then layer according to thickness. For example, don’t layer a thick cardigan with a thin blazer, keep the cardigan thinner than the blazer and the under garments the thinnest material. So this autumn why not try and get the most out of your skirts by adding a few simple items to make it more cozy. Teresa – A Beautiful Italian Law Student Using Fashion to Introduce Herself to the World.

4 August 2011

1.Hi!my name is teresa i’m twenty years old ,I come from a small town in the province of Benevento and  I’m a student of law.  I like fashion so much and i think that over the study of law could become my life or at least i hope. When I was a child I watched the shop windows or the mother’sheels, hoping one day to wear them too.
I take no inspiration from the town where I live because many people think that  fashion is all that is expensive often committing big errors of style.
2.I think fashion is abstraction like philosophy is a way of thinking,a way to face life.Related to fashion is style,I think that style is a way to say who you are without words,a way to introduce yourself to the world, something that is not vulgar.
3.My style is ecletic, everyday i like to be a different woman and due to fashion I can be romantic, sexy, country always remaining the same girl.
4.The perfect dress is that besides to enhancing the body emphasizes the nature and personality of the wearer. I personally ,in this summer,i feel perfect  with high-wasted shorts, pumps, and a vintage blouse ,they make me feel right! With the perfect dress a woman could do everything possible.
5.I like the current fashion, but i love so much the vintage, vintage is style and story and fashions always return. In fact my closet is full of polka-dots,stripes etc.which always return.A bag of Chanel remain even in thirty years, a Chanel bag!
6.No, i’m a student of law for the time i cannot study fashion, but i don’t exclude in the future cooperation with world of fashion (it wuold be great! )
7.I like the fashbo i posted as “viè a pois” but isn’t liked ,what a pity ;(.But i’ll continue to post and i’d like to be the look of the week.I like the fashbos of Little cherry box especially “1950 meets 1980″ is very stylish!
8.I like so much Giorgio Armani because his shapes are clean and elegant, perfect for all ages.I also like Chanel it’s very wonderful i stay speechless in front of the creations of this fashion label.Recently I also like Jill Sander and kenzo.
9.I love buying in vintage flea markets, then i love stores like H&M or Zara or italian stores like Camomilla Milano.I steal my mother’s closet because there are very nice things,or i start to sew the things i like and i cannot have.
10.Besides being a lawyer, I’d like to be a popular personal shopper or work with a fashion label. I’d also like to launch a line of handbagsand shoes
11.The blog is born by chance, in fact, my friends encouraged me towrite one because they say I dress well. So was born thefashiondietthat is the diet of fashion. I often have very concise when I write onblogs because I like to leave space for pictures. The advice I can give is to always be yourself because, like MadameChanel said to be irreplaceable you must be different.

Our latest fashbo member profile is our first Italian member to be profiled on fashbo.  Teresa, or teresamorone on fashbo, is a law student who studies hard during the day and works on her fashion blog, the1fashiondiet , at night.  The fashbo crew is impressed with her unique sense of style and keen use of color within her looks.  Click on her profile to see the large number of looks she has posted to fashbo.  We hope she continues to share her style with fashbo for a long time to come.

Avni — An Up and Coming Designer with Talent to Spare

29 July 2011

1. Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? Can you draw fashion inspiration from
where you live?
Born and raised in India, I have harbored a strong passion for textile arts since as
long as I can remember. My mother and I used to scout out artisan fairs for hand
embroidered fabrics from little villages in Western India. We would make innovative
traditional clothing from these fabrics that created a unique wardrobe with lots of
interesting stories and details. When I moved to the United States, I had a strong feeling
of nostalgia that kept bringing me back to my passion for hand made clothes. I started
to sketch designs that would amalgamate my strong passion for traditional textile arts
and western fashion, and that was when the idea of the Avni brand was born.
2. What is fashion to you?
Fashion to me is about uniqueness and individuality. Avni is for women who appreciate
the beauty of hand made fabrics, enjoy wearing something truly one-of-a-kind, and
celebrate their own femininity.
3. How would you describe your personal style?
My individual style changes on a daily basis. Some days I tend to put on a more
classic and clean look, some days I will go for bohemian chic. It all depends on my
mood. I always like to add something unexpected to my outfit with color, draping, or
accessories. I like to have that element of surprise that really makes each outfit stand
out. And always have confidence and a smile, anything looks good with that!
4. Describe your vision of a perfect outfit ensemble.
I believe in three things as far as a perfect ensemble goes: Impact, Comfort, and
Individuality. I always think about impact as being unexpected elements such as color,
drape, fit. Comfort will bring confidence and smile. Individuality is all about making any
outfit your own. I usually accessorize well and try to bring the whole outfit together with
every detail that expresses what I am all about.
5. Name your favorite and least favorite past or present fashion trend/fad.
Favorite: Pleats and drapes. I am very fond of feminine silhouettes.
Least Favorite: Don’t think I have any least favorite trends.
6. What is your favorite fashbo you posted? Do you have a favorite fashbo that
someone else posted?
My favorite Fashbo that I’ve posted is June 14th’s “Finale Dress”. The photo was taken
at Ophelia’s Wardrobe charity fashion event in Newport, RI on June 10th. The Finale
Dress is a hand textured silk one shoulder dress with a hand embroidered silk overlay,
laced silk belt, and 6ft train. It’s dramatic and regal. You can see why it was the talk of
the event. I’m so very proud of this piece.
I really enjoy looking at everyone’s Fashbo posts. They are all so inspiring and unique. I
can’t just pick one, they’re all so great!
7. We can see from your website, AvniFashion.com, and from the fashbo’s of your work
you have posted to fashbo.com, that you are a very talented designer. What is your
process in coming up with a new design? What inspires you?
There are three things that inspire me- culture, music, and people. I am very inspired
by folk and artisan culture, including traditional garments and jewelry. I love to travel
and have enjoyed observing cultural nuances in rural India, Egypt, South Korea,
China, Japan, Turkey, to name a few. Music has always been a driving force for my
imagination and helps me formulate the look and feel of every collection. Last, but not
the least, is my inspiration from people. I like to bring out various characteristics of
women in my designs. Our Warrior Queen collection was inspired by the contrasting
aspects of a woman’s personality. The ‘sweet’ and ‘spice’, that makes each woman
unique, strong, and passionate.
8. How did you learn the trade of fashion design? Did you study it at a University? Self
taught? Family business?
My training started in my teenage years in India when I would partner with various
custom tailors to create unique pieces for myself. I think the experience of working first
hand with obscure fabrics and clothing was what really taught me a lot about design and
construction. I continued my interest in design and fabrics as a passion and in 2008 was
when the idea of Avni was born.
In order to better equip myself, I did study part time and learned construction, pattern
making, design, and textiles to get a good understanding of the technical aspects of
design. Even though I had a full time job, I used all my free time to immerse myself into
the fashion industry. I researched heavily and talked to various contacts that I had in
Boston and New York to truly understand if my concept had potential. It was October
2009 when I concluded that it was time to put both feet in the water and I took up being
an entrepreneur full time in Jan 2010.
9. You also talk about using artisan fabrics on your site. Can you tell us more about
these fabrics and why you choose to use them?
What I call artisan fabrics are essentially fabrics that have been crafted by hand.
From hand weaving on pit looms, to hand embroidery and hand dyeing, all our fabrics
embrace unique textile craftsmanship that is slowly becoming a lost art. I believe that
when you make something by hand, there is a part of you that goes in every creation
and that’s why the people who make my fabrics are very important to me. I also want
to bring some of these dying arts to the limelight and help proliferate as well as sustain
age old traditions and crafts.
10. Please tell us about your SS ’2011 and FW 2011 collections.
Our SS’11 Amorous Drapes collection is a salute to the artisan women who have been
a true inspiration. Feminine and demure, yet vivacious and strong, these characteristics
are explored in the form of drapes, structure, and attitude. These unique qualities have
been shaped into elegant silhouettes and contemporary looks that showcase all the
wonderful hand made elements and provide a connection with the artisan world.
Our FW’11 Warrior Queen collection was inspired by the contrasting aspects of a
woman’s personality. The ‘sweet’ and ‘spice’, that makes each woman unique, strong,
and passionate. Our looks draw from our image of a fierce, yet vulnerable, Warrior
Queen. The look and feel of this collection is all about bringing out these contradictions
through the juxtaposition of structured silhouettes with irregular necklines, sharp pleats
and soft drapes, and dark earth tones with warm fiery colors.

The world is full of established and up-and-coming designers.  In fact there are so many wonderful designers generating amazing fashion that at times it can blend together into what we like to call “fashion noise.”  Occasionally a designer comes along with a fresh unique take on fashion and fashion design. Our latest fashbo profile, Avni of Avni fashion, is of one of these fresh designers with a unique point of view.  The fashbo crew absolutely loves the fashbos she has posted and the looks she has designed and produced to date.  We very much look forward to seeing what this talented designer delivers in the future. Our money is on Avni as being one of the few designers that breaks away from the crowd and becomes a household name in fashion.

1. Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? Can you draw fashion inspiration from where you live?

Born and raised in India, I have harbored a strong passion for textile arts since as long as I can remember. My mother and I used to scout out artisan fairs for hand embroidered fabrics from little villages in Western India. We would make innovative traditional clothing from these fabrics that created a unique wardrobe with lots of interesting stories and details. When I moved to the United States, I had a strong feeling of nostalgia that kept bringing me back to my passion for hand made clothes. I started to sketch designs that would amalgamate my strong passion for traditional textile arts and western fashion, and that was when the idea of the Avni brand was born.
