The fashbo crew is happy to feature one of fashbo’s original members, Dawn Del Russo, in our latest virtual interview. Dawn’s fashbo’s are always popular and highly ranked on the site. As you will read below Dawn is an accomplished fashion expert who stays incredibly busy with a number of fashion and lifestyle related activities including: two websites, print and television appearances. Dawn is also author of the book, “101 Glam Girl Ways to an Ultra Chic Lifestyle.”
1. Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? Can you draw fashion inspiration from where

you live.
I am from New Jersey, about 30 minutes outside NYC. I grew up in a small suburb town, and went to private school, where I wore a uniform. I always felt the need to express myself, and since my family traveled a lot, and we visited NYC often, I had the opportunity to see other cultures and styles to pull from.
2. Your website, DawnDelRusso.com tells us that you have a B.S. in Business Management at Wagner College and studied fashion at Parsons. Have you found these two disciplines, fashion and Bus Mgmt, to compliment each other?
Absolutely, I come from an entrepreneurial background, so business was always part of my studies. My passion is fashion and style, so combining the two came naturally. I would not have a successful retail boutique or styling business if it were not for my business management education.
3. What is fashion to you?
Fashion is an expression of who you are, the things you love, feelings that inspire you. Fashion is creative, it is passionate, and it is confidence.

4. How would you describe your personal style?
My style is constantly evolving, but I tend to always be a bit more dressed up. I have more of a city chic style with a girly undertone.
5. Describe your perfect outfit ensemble.
I love my heels I am a bit of a sucker for Louboutin’s. I adore sweet embellished dresses and love adding an edgy look with a leather jacket or layering a vest. I never forget to add on a few bold accessories too.
6. Name your favorite and least favorite past or present fashion trend/fad.
My ultimate favorite trend is sky-high stiletto’s maybe since I am on the shorter side. Hmm my least favorite flip flops, I cant stand them especially the ones with small heels, it is one thing to wear them to the beach, it is a whole other story when I see them out, I CAN’T.
7. You own and maintain two websites: BellaDawn.com

and www.dawndelrusso.com. Can you tell us about each of these websites? Why did you choose to launch two separate websites instead of consolidating into one?
Belladawn.com is my boutique, my online store, basically where it all began. As my business grew, and I started to do more TV appearances and national print, I needed to have a space that represented my personality, and who I was, that is how DawnDelrusso.com came to be.
8.You have written a book, “101 Glam Girl Ways to an Ultra Chic Lifestyle”, available in stores, belladawn.com, and Amazon.com . What was your inspiration for writing the book?
I was always constantly giving styling tips to my friends and customers at www.belladawn.com. I started out with my top 25 styling tips on my blog and then it gradually progressed into something bigger. My book touches on fashion, confidence, posture, and positive thinking. Through fashion, I want to empower women. What’s right, is what’s right for you!
9. The “Beach style” fashbo you posted when fashbo first launched, remains one of the highest

rated and most visited fashbo’s to date. Thoughts on why this fashbo remains so popular?
I think everyone one loves a relaxed, summer look, it is warm and inviting, and easy to achieve. The look incorporates the trends, but doesn’t over do it, it is a bit dressed up for the beach which give it that glam feel, and what girl doesn’t want to feel glamorous.

10. What is your favorite fashbo you posted? Do you have a favorite fashbo that someone else posted?
My favorite that I have posted is Monte Carlo Style, pink is my favorite color of course, and the dress is one of my favs. So many people are so creative and post lovely pictures it would be so hard to choice just one from fashbo.com. I do love the Alejsndro Ingelmo boots princessswag posted.
11. Who is your favorite designer or designers?
I love Chloe, Chanel of course, and Gucci for bags, but I like to mix high and low, sometimes I find the best items at small boutiques by up and coming designers.
12. Assuming belladawn.com is your favorite Online location to shop. What is your favorite retail place to shop?
I do love Saks, and there is a Century 21 department store when I live, if you haven’t been to one the next time you are in NYC go. I seriously find so many of my favorite designers there and the prices are unbelievable.
13. What would you consider to be your dream job?
I am living my dream job! My book “101 Glam Girl Way’s to an Ultra Chic Lifestyle” completed my ultimate fashion career as an author. I am on to my next goal, I’d love a national TV show, about fashion, becoming a stylist, with How to’s and the latest trends. For now I cover that on my youtube channel: Dawn’s YouTube Channel
